On May 20th, representatives from Jeevantirth, Raju and Deepti, engaged in significant meetings with two prominent Gujarat government ministers, highlighting their commitment to biodiversity protection, climate resilience, and quality education. These visits underscored Jeevantirth’s collaborative approach to social change, working in tandem with both government and corporate sectors.

Meeting with Minister Mulubhai Bera

Raju and Deepti of Jeevantirth met with Shri Mulubhai Bera, the honorable Minister of Tourism, Cultural Activities, Forest, and Environment & Climate Change. This meeting served as a follow-up to the ‘ShbdoNu Sanmaan’ program, which the Minister was unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts.

Minister Bera expressed his pleasure upon learning about Jeevantirth’s active involvement in Biodiversity Protection and Climate Resilience. He conveyed his best wishes and assured the organization of his full cooperation whenever needed. This interaction signifies the government’s recognition of Jeevantirth’s efforts in crucial environmental domains and hints at potential future collaborations.

On the same day, Raju and Deepti, accompanied by HiteshBhai Rawal, a friend of Jeevantirth, paid a courtesy visit to Shri Prafulbhai Pansheriya, the honorable Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Primary, Secondary and Adult Education, and Higher Education. The meeting took place at his office in Swarnim Sankul.

Minister Pansheriya fondly recalled the renowned Poet Ramesh Parekh, even reciting a few lines of his poetry, showcasing a personal connection to the cultural and educational landscape. He was particularly pleased to learn that Jeevantirth is effectively partnering with reputable corporations such as Rubamin and AIA Engineering to implement their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. He noted that Jeevantirth is currently making a significant impact by working in 50 Government Schools for Quality Education. The Minister readily showcased Jeevantirth’s Annual Report for 2023-24, indicating his active interest and endorsement of their work.

Jeevantirth’s Philosophy: Bridging Gaps and Amplifying Impact

These meetings exemplify Jeevantirth’s core philosophy: that “Government is the main actor in facilitating development.” As a civil society initiative, Jeevantirth sees its role as “To ‘Bridge the Gap’ and ‘Add the Value’ to the system; to ‘Amplify our Impact’ and drive ‘Social Change’.”

This is achieved primarily through partnerships, a principle encapsulated in their belief: “Together We Can!” By collaborating with government bodies and corporate entities, Jeevantirth aims to maximize its reach and effectiveness, contributing significantly to social and environmental betterment in Gujarat.
