At Abhivyakti campus, Juna Koba – Jeevantirth one day workshop on ‘Music and Rhythm’ was organized on 2nd January in which around 30 BalMitras participated with great learning attitude. Music to kids should be introduced by creating an environment where music is a natural, playful part of daily life. The workshop started with the music of ‘Ek Chatur Nar’ and ‘Jacob Collier’ maas music teaching method. Various explanations of music, singing and rhythm were given throughout the day.
The experience of this workshop was very inspiring and musical. Instead of just theoretical talks, participants got the experience of doing practical ‘riyaz’ with ‘tabla’ and ‘harmonium’, which was very effective for understanding music. DipikaBen Shah introduced classical music and few popular children’s songs. DilipBhai introduced various Tals to the participants. At the end of the day participants got an opportunity to be with renowned poet Ms. Lata Hirani.
