Corpus Donation:
Being a Gandhian Institution, we don’t believe in big corpus; but our experience says that for financial sustainability and smooth function of the activities we need some revolving fund or/and year marked fund for specific activities.
For a charitable organization, corpus fund is of paramount importance. Normally a corpus fund denotes a permanent fund kept for the basic expenditures needed for the administration and survival of the organization. The corpus fund is generally not allowed to be utilized for the attainment of the purposes, but the interest/dividend accrued on such fund can be utilized or accumulated. Corpus funds are generally created out of corpus donation. A donation will be treated as corpus donation only if it is accompanied by a specific written direction of the donor.

Donation Interest to be used on Particular Day.
Some of the donor also expect that they want to contribute seed capital in such a way that from interest, some activity can run for a longer period or on regular bases. They can choose their birthday, marriage anniversary or particular day in loving memory of their dear ones – like ‘Tithi Daan’.
A restricted fund is a reserve account that contains money that can only be used for specific purposes. Restricted funds provide reassurance to donors that their contributions are used in a manner they have chosen. The funds can be restricted because the donor wants the money go to a specific program or the donor wants the money to be utilised at a specific time or event, such as an anniversary. Restricted funds give donor assurance that their money is being used in the manner they desire.
If you are a resident in India and you donate to JEEVANTIRTH, your generosity will be rewarded with an Income Tax deduction benefit, under section ’80-G’.
