What We Do?

Our Material Development & Training team design, construct, do field testing, develop, train the BaalMitras and teachers how to use them, and distribute effective TLMs for the conceptual clarity and reinforcement of various learning outcomes. Then we design curriculum based TLMs. As a sharing and caring service organisation we train grass-root activists of other civil society initiatives to deliver their best in the interest of ultimate beneficiaries.

Why We Do?

First and foremost, we consider basic “VaaGaLe Skills” – Reading, Counting and Writing skills – as a learning skills and develop learner cantered TLMs to achieve them. Class-room process based on the importance of experiential learning, principal of knowledge construction, effective learning techniques and use of low-cost Teaching Learning Materials made from easily available material can definitely help learner to construct knowledge within. We want to help young learners to be life-long learner bring their best for ultimate good.

Theory of Change:

If young learners are facilitated to learn by right pedagogy and learning techniques with the help of effective, interactive teaching learning materials they construct knowledge within and develop their full potential to learn. By training and capacitating the educational facilitators and grass-root activists can multiply your effort of social change and creating a learning society.

As a part of supporting ten schools of Hazira area for strengthening Praygna Approach, Adani Foundation decided to provide Teaching Learning Materials base on Praygna Approach to all schools. Jeevantirth took the responsibility to design, develop and provide TLMs with effective training to the concern teachers so that best use can be made for effective learning. Looking to the time and budget constraints, Jeevantirth Material Development Team worked out a plan in which about 25 TLM Kits were developed for the early learner of standard 1 and 2. The treasure bag of TLMs contains 15 Kits for Language and 10 Kits for Maths.

During visit of UNICEF Team at Hazira, TLMs were displayed to them and they appreciated the effort. Training was also given to BaalMitras and local school teachers.

Realising the importance of experiential learning, principal of knowledge construction, learning techniques and use of Teaching Learning Materials and judicial use of technology in the initial years we are getting better results in our educational initiatives. At present we have develop more than 100 TLMs. In future we are planning to start TLM Library also for Schools and Teachers.

In addition to the TLMs, Jeevantirth has designed many Modules for Girl Child Education, Value Education, Environment Education etc.; prepared exhibitions on many themes like Tree Plantation, Rain Water Harvesting, Global Warming, Health Awareness etc; Activity sheets on various subjects. We have also developed working models on different RWH systems and educational kits on hands-on science.
