A 9-day educational camp was successfully organized by “Ashadeep Manav Vikas Kendra” in partnership with Jeevantirth at ‘Abhivyakti’. 17 children participated enthusiastically, along with them Ankit Sir and Nikita Mem also helped actively facilitated the camp. The children came to the camp on the evening of 5th May and say goodbye on 13th May. The main objective of the camp was to increase the academic knowledge of the children as well as life skills, discipline, confidence, and personality development. SamirBhai was the main facilitator. Under his abled guidance we all worked in perfect harmony.
A significant increase in the children’s study habits and self-confidence was observed. Children developed curiosity about new subjects. After spending 9 days in the camp; children got various information about nature, birds; Improvement was observed in technical skills, language skills, changing lifestyle positively – eliminating bad habits; teamwork improved, started doing one’s own work like washing one’s own clothes and dishes; reduced mobile habits, started eating healthy food and went through silent transformation.
The children who were not even 1 minute away from their mobiles remained without mobiles in the camp. And even after the camp, they took a pledge not to use mobiles much. The children also had a lot of fun walking around. I joined the camp as a volunteer and learned a lot from this camp. The children gave me a lot of love. I really liked being with the children; learning and playing. The children liked this camp so much that they were not ready to go home. While leaving, all the children were crying. And again, they left saying that they would come soon. Such camps are indispensable for the holistic development of children.
