Summary: On 1st April SHG activities officially started from the New Office. Our main centre and other premises will be demolished under Slum Redevelopment process soon. There was a medical camp for Diabetics & BP patients on 7th April under the banner of Urban Initiative.
On April 1st, 2023, the Self-Help Group (SHG) activities officially started from the new office. The old office and other premises will be demolished soon under the Slum Redevelopment process. The new office is located at a more convenient location and is much accessible than the old office. This will allow the SHG to expand its activities and reach out to more people. The SHG has been working to improve the lives of the people in the slum for many years. The new office will allow the SHG to continue its work and make a positive impact on the community.
On April 7th, 2023, a medical camp was organized for diabetics and BP patients under the banner of Urban Initiative. The camp was held at the SHG office and was well attended. The camp was conducted by a team of doctors and nurses from the local hospital. The doctors provided free consultation and medication to the patients. The nurses also provided blood pressure and sugar level checks.
The camp was a success and it is hoped that it will be held again in the future. The camp helped to provide much-needed medical care to the people in the slum.

Summary: On 10th April, about 500+ women attended monthly general assembly meeting at BabaSaheb Ambedkar open air theatre, Ranip. ‘Safety Awareness’ was the theme of the month. Certificate distribution was done for the Vocational Training run under CSR Initiative of Prudent. Mahavir Gopal Mahek Grup distributed 500 earthen pots for quenching the thrust of birds in soaring hot summer. Giants Group gifted dust bins to the members of SHGs.
On April 10th, 2023, about 500+ women attended the monthly general assembly meeting at BabaSaheb Ambedkar open air theatre, Ranip. The theme of the month was “Safety Awareness.”
The meeting was a success and it is hoped that it will help to raise awareness about the issue of safety for women.
In addition to the safety awareness presentation, the meeting also featured a number of other activities. The Prudent company distributed certificates to the women who had completed the vocational training program. The Mahavir Gopal Mahek Group distributed 500 earthen pots to help the birds quench their thirst in the hot summer. The Giants Group gifted dust bins to the members of the SHGs.
Summary: During the month Jeevantirth facilitated the process of getting e-Shram Cards for 300 people. The unorganised worker having an e-Shram card will get the following benefits: A pension of Rs.3,000 per month after attaining 60 years. Death insurance of Rs.2,00,000 and financial aid of Rs.1,00,000 in the case of partial handicap of a worker. If a beneficiary (worker in an unorganised sector with an e-Shram card) dies due to a mishap, the spouse will get all the benefits. Beneficiaries will receive a 12-digit UAN number valid throughout India.
Jeevantirth, a non-profit organization, facilitated the process of getting e-Shram Cards for 300 people during the month. The e-Shram Card is a government initiative to provide social security benefits to unorganised workers. The benefits of having an e-Shram Card include:
