Jeevantirth is an organization working towards the betterment of children’s lives. It is an active partner of the Child Rights Collective, Gujarat, which is a coalition of organizations working to protect the rights of children in Gujarat.

On April 1, 2023, Jimmy Macwan, a member of Jeevantirth, participated in a symbolic program of “Inspiration and Resolution” at Hariom Ashram in Nadiad. The program was organized to mark the completion of 13 years of the Right to Education Act (RTE). The RTE is a landmark legislation that guarantees free and compulsory education to all children between the ages of 6 and 14 years.

Jimmy Macwan spoke at the program and highlighted the importance of the RTE. He said that the Act has helped to ensure that millions of children in India have access to quality education. He also spoke about the challenges that still exist in ensuring that all children are able to enjoy their right to education.

After the program, Jimmy Macwan participated in a Zoom follow-up meeting with other child rights activists. The meeting was organized to discuss the progress that has been made in implementing the RTE and to identify the challenges that still need to be addressed.
