Jeevantirth team and its volunteers work throughout the year on their urban initiative, knowing and solving the issues of city slum dwellers. Every year we also make sure to connect with a few villages for a period of 10 days; this is done by Jeevantirth’s staff and volunteers. This keeps us connected to our roots and also introduces us to the difference between cities and villages, the differences in concerns. This helps us prepare the future programs bearing in mind both the cities and villages.
This year from 1st May to 10th May Jeevantirth’s mobile van, School on Wheels, went to Vada, a village in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat. In the span of 10 days the team of 7 volunteers visited surrounding villages and reached 550 children.
Children participated in mathematics and science experiments, games and sports, songs and stories, which entertained and educated the kids.
