The Rajasthan Agri Minister Mr. Saini has spent almost 15 minutes with our store and discussed about 10 minutes with Himatbhai regarding certificatin issues.

NMPB has been working for the growth and development of medicinal plants in the country since its inception in year 2000. At present, NMPB promotes medicinal plants conservation, cultivation, research, marketing, quality and other activities under Central Sector Scheme for “Conservation, Development and Sustainable Management of Medicinal Plants” and Medicinal Plants component under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission for cultivation of medicinal plants.
National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) of the Ministry of AYUSH launched a National campaign on Medicinal Plants on 20th–21st August, 2016 at Jaipur. The campaign was organized at State Institute of Agriculture Management (SIAM), Durgapura, in Jaipur. Approximately 550 farmers from 23 states who are cultivating medicinal plants from across the country have participated. During the event, an Interactive Meet cum Seminar was also organized on Medicinal Plants involving farmers, experts, traders, industries and other stakeholders of medicinal plants sector. Most of the stakeholders was benefited through this event.
Rajasthan Agriculture Minister, Prabhu Lal Saini launched the nationa campaign. He said that taking a U-turn to Ayrveda will not only benefit the farmers but also the state as well as entire nations’s economy. He urged the central government to allocate more budgetary provisions to traditional medicines. During the inaugural session, secretary, Ayush, Government of India, said that ‘we need to create a chain for cultivation, certification and marketing. National medicinal plants board is willing to finance the projects related to certification of herbal products. During the workshop the Agri-Minister also launched the mobile application ‘e-charak’.
The Pharmaceuticals companies like Dabur, Himalaya, Pantanjali, Natural Remedies etc.. shown their keen interest in buying our medicinal plants. Dabur company has offered to supply free saplings of ‘Dodi’ free of cost to the farmer’s who are willing to cultivate with buy-back gurantee. Patanjali Pharmacy also willing to buy Aloe-vera and Amla products.
It was a great opportunities to meet and discuss with various farmers from different state. We are thankful to the Gujarat Medicinal Plants Board for participating this event.
