Holy Celebration and Medical Camp – 2017

The festival of Holi is the one of the most significant for Adivasis; they celebrate it, even today, as their forefathers used to: praying and thanking the Fire. It is a three days festival during which the villagers dance around the fire far into the night.

Our volunteers had the opportunity to celebrate Holi this year with the Adivasis, thanks to Give Forever. A free medical camp was organized by Give Forever in the Adivasi regions of Ambaji on 12th March, 2017, on the occasion of Holi. Ten of Jeevantirth’s helpers were up for the task of volunteering during the camp. Free diagnosis and medicines were given to the 500 beneficiaries. The Adivasi children danced and celebrated Holi with the group, making it a memorable experience.
