Girl Child Sex Education

The need for sex education is quite evident in lower class cultures as no one takes the responsibility of doing the taboo. The changes that girls go through during puberty need explaining; education regarding human biology and its fundamental functions ensures healthy growth, physically and mentally, of adolescent girls.

21st June 2015, on a Sunday, Jeevantirth held a seminar of sex education where subjects like puberty, menstruation, ovulation, etc. were expounded upon. It is a sad fact that despite these subjects being in academic curriculum most of the schools avoid teaching them; confusion about such matters leads to wrong notions and ill practices. Girls came forward with their doubts during the seminar which were promptly answered by the teachers.
