Mr. Nirav Shah from Wake Up To Dream is actively involved with us. He makes sure that the children of Jeevantirth are reminded time and again of the fun that life is. Always he talks about the significance of fostering the uniqueness within each individual rather than curbing one’s aspirations. The joy of realising one’s dreams propels one to work further towards his/her ambition. In order to give the children of Jeevantirth a glimpse of this realisation Wake Up To Dream organised a vintage car ride on 16th April, 2017.

The mild Sunday sun shone the traffic-less Riverfront road near Usmanpura Riverfront Garden where the event was organised. 18 vintage cars, including caddies, were lined up for the children to ride in. Collective eagerness bubbled through the throng. Such cars are generally a motif of celebrities and politicians; it is a treat for an average person but for a slum child, where poverty pervades the community, riding such cars is a regal experience. 200 children of Jeevantirth’s Baal Sanskar Kendras indulged in this joyride, their eyes simmering with amazement and hearts heavy with gratitude. Their sheer joy was a treat for passerby. Mr. Nirav Shah’s words about following one’s dreams had a deep impact on the children after being marinated in such an experience. Following the ride the children were presented with water bottles and lunch boxes to endure the summer.

Providing a wholesome education to our children, free from the constraints of organised schooling, is a priority at Jeevantirth. Such events aid us in our undertaking.
